Here you can post questions to our qualified engineers who volunteer online from all around the world. As long as your project meets our development goals criteria, your enquiry will be assigned a dedicated engineering team who will work to answer you in a timely fashion.
We will accept enquiries on technology, systems and methods ranging from single questions to larger problems which require a more wide reaching plan. Please give us as much detail you can on the desired outcome and the specifics of any existing or available technology. Please include any relevant numbers - dimensions, flow rates, product codes etc.
You will also be asked to create a login so that you can return to our website and view the answers to your enquiry or post new questions. You will be notified by email of your unique password. If you are an engineer and would like instead to volunteer to answer enquiries please use this page.

Should your enquiry be made public?

When your enquiry is answered it may be of use to others, if you select 'public' the enquiry will be visible on the website when a successful answer has been resolved. Otherwise you may select to keep your project private.

Only enquirers can post new enquiry threads. First time enquirers must enter a valid email address along with correct details when posting the new enquiry as a confirmation link will be sent to you.

This is simply an anti-spam device - once you have clicked this link and confirmed you are a "real" user you must wait for a second email generated when one of EngineerAid's Project Officers accepts your application. This email will contain a temporary password allowing you to login.

You are then free to make posts and change your personal details including the temporary password. We advise you to change this to something memorable but if you do forget your password you may click on Reset your password and a new temporary password will be emailed to your account.

EngineerAid targets its services specifically at the needs of those most in need of developmental assistance rather than those in more developed economies who have other means to obtain the assistance. EngineerAid will only publish those enquiries which meet this criteria.

Making a post

Every post to the EngineerAid website will be moderated by one of our Project Officers. Any unsuitable content such as abusive language, advertising of any kind or content of a sexual nature will be removed and the account of offending user permanently deleted.

It is the aim of EngineerAid to offer the best possible engineering advice to worthy development projects and does so on a completely voluntary basis. No goods or services may be either offered or requested using our service including those for commercial sale or voluntary donation. our model is simply to offer information and knowledge transfer. Our volunteer engineers are encouraged to point enquirers in the direction of suitable sources of needed goods or services however there must be no undeclared interests. Where a need is particularly apparent for material goods or service EngineerAid may use posted information in conjunction with other charities and NGO's to assist particular developments.
