We are carrying out a feasibility of a scheme to supply drinking water to a group of rural villages in Jamaica, a schematic of the area is attached. We need someone who has experience of designing pipelines to check / assist with calculations similar to the attached, which concludes that an existing 3" PVC pipeline can be used to supply water to slightly over 7000 people, based on a conservative assumption about water use and confirmation that the pipe and fittings can take the pressure.
Desired outcome of this enquiry is either a 'yes, calculation is correct' or 'no, calculation is incorrect because of XYZ'.
We anticipate several similar calculations that will be done over the next few months, as more information becomes available.
