Our priorities include the following sectors: Agriculture, Health, Transport, Sanitation, Water, Energy and Construction. The engineering technologies involved within these sectors are predominantly Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical and Clinical.
Support with damage to houses due to excessive rain
Heavy rains in Uttranchal, India caused extensive damage to houses and local
organisations needed immediate support to provide temporary structures to
the local community. EngineerAid contacted about 40 engineers with relevant
skills, to help with the project. Within a week, we received several solutions,
including a comprehensive guide on designing gabion walls to control erosion.

Water Salination
Rural Gurgaon, India faces serious water problems; rainfall is only 43%
of the national average and available water is extremely saline and
after attempts at rain water harvesting through recharge wells, the community
contacted us to provide technical solutions. We were able to produce detailed
documents investigating the underlying causes, demand management, piped water
supply, maximising rainwater and piped water storage and use, and water treatment.

Support for building a large bird cage for injured birds
Birds are seriously injured during the kite-flying festival, and the local hospital was
out of capacity - EngineerAid helped design a bird cage that could be easily made
using a local materials and on a low budget.

School Computing Facilities
Knowledge provided to help install computing equipment to facilitate the education of
school children in Kenya. This project will domino effect through-out the community
promoting long-term sustainable development.
Solar Panels
Provided technical advice on how to install solar panels helping to raise the standard of
living by ensuring that the community will have a reliable source of electricity for years to come.
