Heavy rains in Uttranchal, India caused extensive damage to houses and local organisations needed immediate support to provide temporary structures to the local community. EngineerAid contacted about 40 engineers with relevant skills, to help with the project. Within a week, we received several solutions, including a comprehensive guide on designing gabion walls to control erosion.

Rural Gurgaon, India faces serious water problems; rainfall is only 43% of the national average and available water is extremely saline and after attempts at rain water harvesting through recharge wells, the community contacted us to provide technical solutions. We were able to produce detailed documents investigating the underlying causes, demand management, piped water supply, maximising rainwater and piped water storage and use, and water treatment.
