Innovation Challenge

Bodge together a working machine from some old junk against the clock... and help charity in the process. Are you up to the task?

  • Free lunch and refreshments included.
  • Event to be followed by drinks in city centre pub.
  • Sponsorship goes towards local charity

EngineerAid, an Edinburgh based charity which gives free online engineering advice to development projects worldwide, is hosting an event loosely based around TV’s “Scrapheap Challenge”.

We need teams of enthusiastic people to enter the event with the goal of creating a solution to a real life problem submitted from one of our field partners in Africa.

Teams of roughly 5 people will be accepted however individuals are encouraged to attend as several teams will be formed on the day.

The event takes place on Sat 24th March 2007 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the Edinburgh Training Centre, St. Mary’s street off the Royal Mile. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. As EngineerAid relies on donations, we would be delighted if each contestant could help us by bringing sponsorship (suggested minimum of £20).

Registerations now CLOSED for the event. For more information, contact challenge@EngineerAid.com
